This is not cheap. I can buy the same thing for RM15 at local hardware shop.

Dear Ihgin......for your information,this is the imported version of MK toughplug.The usual MK plug available at the local hardware shop is not the same quality although better than most no-name plugs out there.

pete is correct that these plugs are of better quality. I've attached below a picture showing the inner part, where you can see the 'live' terminal is silver plated. One will feel the quality once you hold it in your hand, it's much heavier than most other plugs: solid stuff, no bluff bluff

I called Hi-Fi shop at Amcorp, cheapest price RM35 each for MK red color and RM12 for MK white color (heavy duty).

Pete/5151/Jemmi - Just go to Thye Huat like what Sivaguru said. It's exactly the same MK plug with red cover and same internals. No pun intended but just wanna let you guys know in order not to get ripped off by someone else.

Actually I preferred the other MK expensive (RM12) version compared to the Red version. It has much better build and the screws are skirted uniquely to provide the highest surface contact. Not to mention, the red cover are rather soft and could not really tolerate thick cables when I used it on power cable for my DIY active crossover.

Get it and you know what I mean.

I was just helping my client to clear these plugs and believe it or not, no money is made but I did make some selling some raw power cords to him though

I would have dozens available rather than just 5 if I were to sell these for a profit in the first place.

Hello everyone. This is an interesting topic.

MK Plug (Hospital Property) Red Color, bought at Amcorp Mall for RM50.00 and is not silver plated but Brass only.

The print on the Mk plug says Hospital Property. Does this mean not an audiophile grade? Looks like every HIFI kaki crazy for it with the label.

Any idea, why are they selling so expensive?

Looking for this MK Red plug 'hospital property'. Taobao is selling but not sure of originality. RS Component, sure original, price is only RM33. The problem is to buy in at least 10pcs. I only need two or three pieces. Anyone interested in this plug?
