Usher speakers - Page 2 Empty Re: Usher speakers

I am going to audition the usher this weekend. I will start with the x718 then BE 718. I will do direct comparison 4 both with my own cd and also compare it with my own xavian. Ironically the xavian now sing in full swing after i drive it with an old Marantz PM30 amp that I borrow from my old friend. It has been an effort to find the match amp for the xavian.
I have tried pre-power combo, integrated, tube and various brand but lastly the marantz sounds the best. and it just a RM400 amp only. Talk about matching, its true and utmost important.
For me, i like the speaker that sounds good plus the shape and exterior appearence. Usher really pleasing to look at as though yur looking at a fine piece of furniture. I will definitely buy either both and will built my system step by step until all the components are match. Thanks guys for all the inputs. cheers!!

Quite frustrating you know  but family's first. I can get BE718 berrilium from Penang (used) with all capacitors changed to mundorf at RM4k. Still thinking!!! berbaloi or not?

Go for it. I've listened to Usher in full force at the Taipei distributor. It is really that good if paired with the right amp. They do suck a lot of power. Smile
