Tube sound from the transistor....rare British vintage Amplifier.

I have had this amplifier from new it has served me well. It has been utterly reliable and has excellent features. This amp. is the “Silver” version and comes with two phono boards one for MM the other for MC. Construction is dual mono.

This amplifier generates high temperatures. The components used are fully thermally balanced to ensure outstanding sound quality and long life. The versatile Amadeus will accept CD. Tuner & Tape inputs and has a pre-amp stage output facility.

Output power :30 watts per channel Class A+ into 8 ohms

On music dynamics the power will operate in class A/B)

Harmonic distortion : 0.05% at rated output into 8 ohm load


Sensitivity :100mV on line level inputs. Subject to input board used on phono.


Frequency response : 10Hz – 60kHz - 1dB on high level inputs

+/- 0.25dB to RIAA on phono input with -3dB at 20Hz

The amplifiers operate mostly in Class-A (except on high power peaks) and so run fairly warm. High quality components are used throughout with 'remote' switches operated from the front panel controls but placed at the heart of the active circuitry to keep the signal paths short and uncluttered.
