Re: Dune hd max review needed
I bought this unit 1 yr ago and my comment is:- The tracking(responce time) time is slower than normal CD player, Sound is just fine but not as warm & sweet as branded mid range CDP, I find it a little too colourful in terms of sound produced(192/24-Bit) and it is lacking of deep sound stage. Overall it is still a good buy at this price, it is a good Blue ray player, worth buying and keeping it as a spare set.

Hi,
I have a prime.. thou' l m far from a good reviewer ..
I do use it as both a media player in which it literally plays anything I throw at it - whether it is a single unpowered [ I dunno wat u call it ] HDD or even those external [those tat need a power connection ] HDD 'toasters'
I have it set up as a Region B BDP [ its actually rgn free ] but l am kinda lazy tat way ] as l have another oppo playing rgn A titles..
Performance wise - vdos are comparable to my oppo bdp80 but then again l m no videophile..
Audio wise - again l am no audiophile - so it suffices in the realm of HT - but I tink true audiophiles might find it wanting..
BTW - they dont make em with BD drives anymore - l guess the trend is free - downloaded materials now..
