how to correctly set the picture/color/contrast of a plasma tv?

need some help here. Any suggestions? Want to correctly set the picture as accurately as possible.

Are you referring to TV calibration or just playing around with the settings?

many thanks for replying. Preferably want to learn how to properly set up the picture... tv calibration I would say. Thought of buying one of those dvd or blu ray discs that help you set up properly... but a lot of negative reviews. So not sure what to do...

Vdo calibration is not easy - laymans can use those Calibration DVD's/Blurays tat come with filters ..
N those .. like Spyder is IMO very difficult to use [to me, at least] n worse is its not cheap - granted tat you can use it again if say you dont like de images after a year of use..
But most will just pay a calibrator to do it..
