《MayMow Sings Tsai Chin: Exquisite Chinese Oldies Reimagined》

Event Brief:

When it comes to Chinese Oldies in the international arena, few come close to challenging the unwavering crown of Taiwanese evergreen songbird, Tsai Chin. Tsai is more known for her oldies revival than her original compositions; she is the one who garners the biggest following in Chinese Oldies Revival market worldwide.

Here in Malaysia, pop pop music, a regional premier independent Chinese Jazz label, has always been inspired by Tsai Chin and has groomed a couple of artists in the same mould as the international superstar. The latest being MayMow, a songstress with the complete package: looks, voice and showmanship. MayMow had her debut in NBT in 2014 and has since grown into a league of her own. In the midst of making her first full-length album singing all the classics made famous by Tsai Chin, MayMow takes on the huge and seemingly impossible task of emulating the evergreen songstress. In all likelihood, the album is gonna be the talk-of-the-town, and even, the talk of the global Chinese music industry, since this album is gonna be distributed worldwide, like all previous albums of pop pop music.

This all-important showcase will have the backing of piano master Tay Cher Siang, the Music Director and Arranger of the album, with his WVC Jazz band. Also welcoming a new singer onboard, pop pop music will present the elegant and sultry Nutserlar Lim to guest sing a couple of songs with MayMow.

Don't miss it if you are a fan of Chinese Oldies or Shanghai jazz. It's gonna be memorable.
