DESCRIPTION: The Alpha is a two way rear ported system with a ½" dome tweeter (ferro fluid-cooled for enhanced power handling) and an impressive 6½" polypropylene-cone woofer with an EVA-treated foam suspension. The speakers have been finely tuned and matched. The crossover point is 3kHz, and the crossover itself is a minimalist design with few parts. Paul Barton designed all of PSB speakers, including the drivers, from the ground up, with the assistance of the National Research Council Facility in Ottawa, Canada. Following many months of testing and listening, with measurements in the anechoic chamber, Paul settled on the now legendary Alpha design. Further testing resulted in the numerous products now available from PSB. All of the speakers are ported (rear ported on monitors, front ported on subwoofer), giving a Q of about 0.7 (the ratio of energy stored to the energy released). My verdict

Very strong tweeter very transparent typical of Canada / US sounding speakers.
Suitable if you prefer light bass and focus on high and clarity.
Good condition no scratch.
