This is a beautiful vintage original Western Electric (Electronic Enterprises Inc labeled) JAN 274B rectifier tube. Made in USA, black smooth plate, said to be holy grail of rectifier tubes.
Made by Western Electric, is this extremely rare military stock, JAN-CDZ-274B, that was made and labeled for Electronic Enterprises. It is absolutely identical to the WE yellow labeled 274B tube. This tube will replace any 5U4G, as well as 5RAG, 5AU4, 5AS4, 5AW4, 5T4 and 5V3.
The tube has smooth black plates, a bottom wired "D" getter, and the date code "606", made way back in 1956. Tested good, with no leaks or shorts.
The black base coke bottle shape tube sounds creamy smooth with fine details and plenty of punch.
