Once you activate the "Pure Direct" button, it bypasses the tone controls and unnecessary circuits to give audio signal the shortest path. The sound transforms and turns itself into a true audiophile amp.

Wide & pin point sound stage, punchy bass, dynamic yet musical sound. The headphone output is no slouch as well. Tested with HifiMan HE-6 and drove it really well.

I love this amp. Kept delaying this sale even after I've upgraded. 

The quality of the parts are amazing. The volume know is smooth with good torsion. The circuits are soldered using solder with copper content (which explains the musical sound signature).

Bottom plate is reinforced with additional steel plate to reduce vibration. Knock on it and you can only hear a solid thud.

Also comes with a very good built-in, you'd probably have to spend a fair bit to better this amp.. It accepts USB, SPDIF (RCA), optical.

cosmetics: 7.5/10 (minor stain & scratches on the top plate...refer to pic. Front and back is as good as mint.)
internal: 9.5/10

Warranty by Yamaha until Feb 2019 (will give you the receipt).

It is superb for for TV setup if you have 2.1 speakers set (it has a subwoofer output). I used it when playing PS4 games as well.








Stain is caused by cooking oil that has seeped through the anodised surface, the oil is from a wood chopping board I put on top of it to stabilise it. Didn't know oils can stain anodised aluminium surfaces.
