or some people are getting really uncomfortable touching on the sales territory thingy...come on lah....anyone who has a least bit of brain knows what is it all about. Why try to suppress this topic (if they are suppressing it).

Asian mentality, don't want to mention price and vendor on the net/forum. Why bother, open up everything and the market will eventually correct itself (it's such a nice and politically correct word - correct itself - layman terms mean those who cannot survives , close shop!! )

I guess it's just a matter of time that I get kick outta here for "raising" matters that are deemed "sensitive" hahahha

Care to comment where the thread went mod/admin? At least give some reason for it "disappearing" lah...

bro, your word is so true. how can in singapore the price is much cheaper while their salary are higher, while in malaysia its more expensive while their salary are lower?

* do not story about 'duit kopi' in places like this, many kinds of people visits hifi4sale & having queries from gov.my about that matter is the last thing i believe the admin team wants to face. cheers What a Face

But duit kopi is an open secret ever since our independence. It is our culture which we should not be ashamed of.

I like your missing thred as I purchase most of my costlier items from Singapore and I just do not understand why the prices in Malaysia are so much dearer. I really do not mind if our local prices are slightly higher but normally I find the difference is way too much.

I am serious in forming a club to consolidate our purchase and buy from Singapore (if the price is right) since it is only a few hours drive away for most of us. Foregt about the local warranty issue as it is no issue at all to most of us.

163 kgs via fedex about USD1200 plus plus...custom clearance, handling fee, custom processing fee etc etc. Still works out cheaper than buying in Msia.....so much for supporting the local hifi vendors....it's not that I don't wanna support local vendors, but the astronomical prices they quote is totally outta this world....a USD6000 product is a RM33k product...best price some more!!!!!

Come on lah....if local hifi vendors think we "the consumers" are still stupid, then they deserved to be "equalized in the global competitive market"....aka "tutup kedai". And please do not lay me with the local support, local knowledge and the "service" the local vendor provides...cause once I play my lady gaga, michael jackson, 50 cents, Eminem ...i am treated like a pariah already....so why should a local hifi store wants the pariah business right? cheers to Tim Berners-Lee the inventor of www for making the world "smaller" Smile
