RCA Signal splitter
Hi everyone,
Does anyone here know where to find a good quality rca signal splitter?
I'm looking for 1male to 2female splitter.
Lately been listening alot of Astro radio, their jazz and opus channel is not too bad
i know this is not the right audio source...but they have more songs and mixes...hehehehehe which is quite nice to listen too
problem is, my astro audio out is connected to the tv and tv audio out to my amp
everytime i wanna listen to the astro radio with my amp, my tv needs to stay on and not even standby mode
occasionally, i will redirect the rcas to my amp and after listening shift it back to the tv....
y can't i put permanent? bcoz my kid needs to watch cartoon channel and i suppose its too much hassle for him to on everything...hehehehehehe
so i hope you all can share some ideas how to overcome this
i've been surveying around and couldnt get a good one...found those cheapo few ringgit type..or maybe there r places that i'm not aware off
thanks

Re: RCA Signal splitter
This may not be of much help but I suggest that you buy the cheap adapters that cost a few ringgit as you probably won't be able to distinguish the sound differences with a "branded" one anyway. Astro radio broadcast is not all that high quality and furthermore the sonic difference between a cheap adapter and good "branded" adapter will not be substantial. Some audiophiles do use Cardas adapters on costly interconnects mainly to convert RCAs to XLRs or vice versa. While a minority reported a "subtle" improvement, majority either cannot hear a difference or don't know whether they are hearing an improvement in sound. Cardas does not sell the type of adapter you are looking for, and that may further suggest the piece does not have a place in audiophile's application.
My personal advice is to just get the cheap adapters and they will work equally fine. Apart from the quality of radio signal, other more important components that largely contribute to the sound quality are the amplifier and speakers. You need to worry more about these if you want better sound. Wires and adapters come last.
