Made in Belgium (Phillips CD 101) In other words, pretty 1983's old school. It was pretty hard to fault overall, still plays most new CD's include Cd'rs , very well built it sounded more natural and analog. It also sounded pretty close to Zero-oversampling DACs, and i prefer it to anything else.It has warmth, presence & all the detail I ever wonder & very close to analogue sounding - not at all bright, harsh or coarse , 1540s/1541s player really sounds fantastic! Very musical in contrast to many modern players.
