An utterly fantastic "Golden Era" laboratory reference power amplifier!
The Luxman 5M21, released in Japan in 1977 during the “Golden Age” of Japanese high-fidelity audio equipment, is a vintage power amp with phenomenal performance. Luxman amps from this era are renowned for their high-end circuits and the use of superior Audio components, resulting in critically acclaimed sound. This DC power amp, designated as a “laboratory reference amp”, is no exception. The 5M21 features a parallel push-pull composition with four power utilizing in the output stage. With the DC amp configuration , phase distortion in the low frequency region and transient distortion in the high frequency region are eliminated. The 5M21 has a rated output of 100 W per channel (8 ohms). The amp provides quality power amplification for an exceptionally smooth sound which is pleasant and enticing.It features a certain Japanese vintage quality of construction you can immediately notice, and the overall aesthetic is handsomely minimalist.
