The ENERGY 5.1e speaker hosts a 1" soft dome tweeter, and two 7" Quadconcentric woofers. The front and rear vented cabinets delivers smooth and accurate bass down to 35Hz, and features the unique Spherex front baffles in their design. They can be configured for bi-wire or bi-amped hook-up with their 5-way binding posts.
These speakers have received good reviews for their design and sound quality.
Edward J. Foster of Sound & Vision Magazine (August 1995) gave them his Critic's Choice Award for speakers in the $1001-$1500 category

"..They sound amazing - I've owned almost all of the e-series Energy speakers at some point and they are my all time favorite and these are no exception! I find the treble from the e-series tweeter has incredible 'texture' as well as openness. They are very non-fatiguing to listen to for long periods. I feel these are very under rated speakers!
As you would imagine from a large floorstander, the bass from these is deep, but it's also accurate.."
