PP10 employs 3 stages of protection against lightning and surge. Stage 1 is surge protection using metal oxide varistor. Stage 2 is a low pass filter to remove any noise above the 50 Hz and 60 Hz range. Lastly, Stage 3 is another surge protection that is able to reduce 3kA surges to less than 600v.
