Condition: 8/10. Item is in very good condition.  It drives almost any speaker to perfection would be the catch phase if u read this amplifier’s review. 

Those familiar with Farlowe-era Exposure would know the older exposure has a different sound signature compared to the new. There are many who still have preference for the older house sound. It delivers the British PRAT (Pace Rhythm and Tempo) with a tinge of warmth.

The last of the big three Brit lines is Exposure. For this review, I had the 18 Super amplifier and 19 preamp. Each is 17.25 inches wide, by 3.5 high and 12 inches deep. The on/off switch is a large rocker on the left side of the faceplate. The pre-amp has 3 control knobs on the right, a volume control, a source select (6 line level choices) and a tape select. Basic black is the color of choice. The 18 Super is rated at 75 watts per channel into 8 ohms and their literature claims that they will "drive all but the most insensitive speakers available regardless of their impedance."

Bass is superb. Midrange is superb and the highs are even better.
It has no faults in staging and dynamic range is a knock out.

Exposures are simple to look at and draw no attention to themselves. Some say they are ugly or unimaginative with a black Aluminium face plate and a single led on a rocker switch the only sign the amp is alive. This simplicity carries on into the innards of the amp. If a multitude of circuit boards and terrifically complicated design is an indicator of quality to you, you will not like what you see. While all parts are top shelf stuff and much is custome made, this amp is the closest thing to "straight line with gain" that you are likely to see. That is a summation of it totality. It is a wonderful musical amp that gets out of the way of the listening experience but is so good that your music source and player are up to snuff or you will hear it .
