Speaker stands also need to provide a complete rigid, isolating support platform for the speaker to operate at the maximum performance possible. This can be achieved through the integrity of the speaker stand, the number of supporting columns, the engineering incorporated in to the design, the type and number of fixings, the built in specialist isolation acoustic steel, 4mm acoustic steel for resonance energy absorption and conversion or the quality and thickness of materials involved,  oiled and pickled steel for a quality and superior surface finish. 

The speaker stands designed and manufactured by Custom Design provide the perfect isolating solution for speaker cabinets. Speaker cabinets resonate, therefore the best possible isolation point would be the corners which resonate the least. That is why Custom Design provide an optional standard range of top plate dimensions and provide a custom made service for our customers to achieve the best possible listening experience and sound performance from their HiFi system.

The 76mm ERW BS EN 10305-3 steel central column can be easily mass loaded with our Inert Filler and the 4 x 50mm satellite columns combine to provide a totally rigid speaker stand. The performance improvements are substantial, especially to the dynamic range which seems more open and free compared to conventional central, mass loaded designs. Stereo imaging and precision timing bring more excitement to your listening experience all with an accurate and controlled bass performance. The FS 206 Speaker Stands offer an alternative to the usual option of speaker stand design.

The satellite support columns are available in Black as standard Brushed Chrome finish optional extra. The hand made and hand finished 4mm acoustic steel isolation top plates are unique to the FS 205 and FS 206 ranges, the only speaker stand support design in the world with this feature, The aesthetically pleasing base plates are manufactured from precision laser cut 5mm steel and designed to have the minimal appearance and influence on your speaker performance. The design combines complete isolation with total rigidity for a substantial foundation for customers who require the maximum performance for a rewarding, more exciting and dynamic performance.

Custom Design do not use Aluminium in the construction of any speaker stand designs. The natural properties of aluminium prevent speaker stands from performing to the best of their ability as mechanical feedback can be prevented, just like over mass loading. Which will result in reducing the dynamic range and the depth of bass frequency.
Rigidity is proven integral design feature which improves sound performance. The Custom Design philosophy  of multi column supports provides superior sound quality and performance over traditional single column support design speaker stands.
