The Aviano 1 XR is a true powerhouse which delivers entertainment by the bucket-load yet consumes minimal living space. Its potent 5¼" driver communicates with incredible authority and integrates flawlessly with Mordaunt-Short’s proprietary aluminium dome tweeter for a highly detailed, smooth and room-enveloping soundstage.

Aviano 1 XR’s all-new second-order crossover brings about a number of technical benefits, the result of which makes our budget hero an more thrilling listen than all its peers...

How’s this possible? Well firstly, the crossover rolls-off the driver units faster which means less overlap between the midrange and tweeter thus improving off-axis response. This benefit is most apparent in non-optimised listening environments – typical of most people’s homes – meaning better balance and precision whether listening intently to the intricacies of a symphony orchestra or being entertained by something altogether more raucous.
