This amplifier is based on 5 Bang & Olufsen 500AS/P IcePower modules and is conservatively rated at 200WPC into 8ohms. These B&O icepower modules are also used in high end Bel Canto, Rotel, D-Sonic amps and deliver exceptional clarity at any volume level. Often described as tube-like, these digital amplifiers are regarded as the best on the market. The amps have -112dB noise floor.

This amplifier can be used by itself or in conjunction with the NHT Controller (pre/pro). When used in conjunction with the NHT pre/pro, the Power5 can report channel status to the processor via the built-in ethernet based NHTBus.

The unit is new and fully functional. Original selling price was US$2,700.00 in U.S. stores.

With a powerful 1,000 Watts of continuous output (5-Channel x 200W RMS @ 8ohms THD+N below <0.05% - all channels driven simultaneously), and a -112dB noise floor, you can hear everything and nothing simultaneously, yet its digital design allows it to run cooler, faster and more efficiently than anything in its class. It interact intelligently with the NHT Controller (digital surround sound processor/preamp also on SALE in a separate advert) – sharing knowledge that regulates, distributes, adjusts, counts and quantifies amplification needs. The result is a clarity and purity of sound.
