Denon AVR-3808 AV amp: Should I grab it?

To all sifu,
I was hunting for lossless av amp.Initial look for Onkyo tx-sr875 which i missed few boats as been sold out.But anyway i have no choice to source for new set and Denon avr-2809 was impress me.Those shops fellows been quoted me this Denon avr-2809 and prices was jumping up/down as only different rm200~300.
Lately i found another hifi shop which they still have new set of Denon avr-3808 which still under warranty by Woo Kee Hong,silver color.He quoted me avr-3808 prices almost similar with Denon avr-2809 and i was quite impress with performance.
Should i grab it ? Need an advice.

I don't think any AVR is considered Hifi! My opinion is to go for a good set of speakers first, and leave the rest later.

I am using Denon AVR1909, but I have just upgraded my speakers to Harbeth, and it is already a heaven of difference.

I may consider setting a 'hi-fi' stereo system alongside the AVR, but that's another story for another day.

its better price than australia, which is $2k = rm5.7k
rm4.5k can consider in expensive range, to me of course
hi end for ht usually refers to separates processors & power amps

but how cheap are the movies materials in bolehland?

Of course AVR is not mean for HIFI Stereo.U may get valve set instead of HT amp if u r serious abt HIFI only.

Get the Marantz SR6003, you wont regret it. I just got it less than a week and setup for HiFi use. Pairing with Tangent M9 for burn-in. So far, very impressed almost beyond belief, an AV receiver can achieve such purity soundfield

I got mine Marantz SR6003, and i think it one of the most handsome looking av amp.. and it a lot cheaper than Denon.

Depend on which model, the Denon 2809 at bargain price RM3k during the KLIAV show.

I used to own Denon but I switched to Marantz and I love it.

That why i got quoted 4.6k for Denon 2809,ask the shop fellars why so expensive then KLAV but he deny it.

wow 4.6k is quite high. Can get the latest model Denon 2810, launching next month

yep rm4.5k is veri high indeed i just purchased 2309 as i can save some $.
