To all the sifus out there,

Don't know where to turn to with my predicament. I'm searching for opinion or answers as to how to convert camcorder tapes to disc, e.g dvd, so that I can preserve my many years of capturing in tapes to dvd of my kids growing up. Just don't have any ideas as to how I should go about it. Will really appreciate all the sifus out there for your feedbacks. Thanx a mil.

Cheers

What tapes are you referring to her? VHS size or those mini DV tapes?

If its VHS, you need a VCR and a DVD or Hard disc recorder. I use a Philips unit. Google it.

If its mini DV, normally your camcorder will allow a USB connectivity to yr laptop to transfer the video onto yr laptop. It can also be connected to the DVD or hard disc recorder above.

Much appreciation for the response, Mr. Elhefe. I wonder if there are shops or places to do the conversions.

Cheers

Yes, there are shops that will do the conversion for you.

However, there are some hardware available from computer shops that you can buy and do the conversion yourself.

Doesn't cost much to buy the hardware and you can make as many conversions as you like.
