US Wall Receptacles To Replace Malaysian Ones
Hi
Has anyone replaced their existing regular white square Malaysian wall receptacles with US ones to fit US plugs?
What brands are best for performance at a competitive and fit the existing footprint so there is no or minimal unnecessary wall defacing?
I looked at Oyaide and Hubbell online but am unsure if the fit as they are duplex units. Who carries them locally?

Thanks.
The one in your picture is a simplex or duplex?
Who sells it and how much does it cost?
Thanks

The main "sound" improvement of the us plug is because they r fuseless. U truly need to know what u r doing here. As our 220~240v is not going to be kind over any short circuit. Obviously u have already get rid of switch before u come to this us plug tweak? My advise, unplug main when not listening.

Thanks.
I forgot about the switch.
I will get an electrician to install. I presume he will know how to get rid of switch.

Joe Ling, there is no simplex type. They are all duplex with 2 outlets.

Don't forget that the "live" and the "neutral" have their position switched.

Obviously SINE are best alternative.joeling wrote:Yes can be done. U need the simplex type.
you have "thicker plating" couple with" deep Cryogenic" treatment. speaking in terms- Performanve Vs Price ratio.SINE beats others "SOCK OFF", it let others walking bare-feet on the ground.Chose between Platinum or GOLD to suit your taste.
