Made In Japan

First component launched to celebrate Luxman's 50th anniversary in 1975 and part of the very best components produced during hi-fi's peak decade.

Despite a very consequent price, the L-100 sold very well : it is beautiful, feature-packed, sounds wonderful and is very reliable. What more could one ask ?

The L-100 gave way to several variants : L-110 (integrated), C-1000 & C-1010 (pre) and M-2000 (power) and also gave its entire phono stage to the C-1000.

The L-100U seems to be the USA export version but I have no info regarding actual differences - if any.

The Luxman L100 represented the pinnacle of Audio Engineering at the time it was produced. The good news for audiophiles is that this quality still out-performs many of the current established brands. This amp can produce deep controlled Bass and the rest of the sound has the warmth of some valve amps. Make no mistake this amp his a very high quality classic!

A lot of thought went into the input options with 2 phono inputs covering Moving Coil and Moving Magnet, with an impedence adjuster for Phono input 1 and input sensitivity control for both phono inputs, the vinyl afficianado is well covered.

The amplifier operates in both Class "A" and class "B" depnding on power output.
An Automatic Voltage Regulator ensures IM distortion is kept to a minimum. The amplifier uses two 15,000uF Capcitors and produces 110W per channel into 8-ohm loads.

The other good aspect is the the links on the pre-amp out and main in can be removed so that the pre-amp or power amp sections can be used independently.
