Running In Your Gears or Running In Your Ears???

Post by B52 on Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:58 pm

Hi all my frenzs and forumers,

I think this is a good issue or topic to discuss and changing ideas.Just came out from my head out of the blue when enjoying my new set.Sometimes I really wonders do new hifi gears like amp and mainly cables do need to be running in?
Is there any Law of Physic to prove it?

Or maybe once u change something in your hifi set up especially new cables or new amp we are used to follow the nature of running in.Some might reach to 50 hours , a week or worst of all up to a month. To me new stuff that we bought is already good and ready to perform in full since its condition is NEW.

Now sometimes that matters is nothing got to do with running in the new stuff, its just that we are actually running in our ears to slowly adapt the new presentation that most probably less than 10% improvement from your previous ones.

So, to my opinion we're actually running in our own ears simply to get use to the new sound presentation that might be different from the older ones and to keep it short, we are slowly adapting ourself to get use to new stuff that we've bought.Even worst we try to make ourselves or forced ourselves to admit that the new stuff is or are good just only because have spend a lot for it (even though it was actually almost the same or bad than the previous ones)......am I right or wrong guys????

Hopes will get some responds or other opinions on these issue.

TQ,
