Can anyone tell me where can I get a good technician to modify my Audio Research power supply from 120V to 230V ?

Easiest would be to get a step-down transformer from 230/240v primary to 120V secondary. Power rating calculation is Voltage * amps (P=V*I) (e.g. if the amp is drawing 4Amps, the power usage is 240* 4 = 960VA). Be a bit more generous on the power rating if possible.

You can probably get a nicely boxed item from Pasar Rd.

Hi,

Unless not provided by your equipment transformer. a simple solderring or some may use jumper may change from 120v to 240v.Try look at the manual.

If non-provided, step down is the easiest way unless you want to rewiring the transformer.

Will stepdown transformer affect the sound performance ?

From an engineering perspective - no; from audiophile perspective, in my opinion - yes. A step-down transformer in this case is a basic form of line conditioner.
