I've used a Diapason Nux (floorstanders) with an old UR Triode 20. In triode mode (18W), IMHO, it is great for vocals and acoustic string instruments. Very lively, sweet and involving but may be a bit light for some. I've also paired my Diapason with UR Simply 4. Sounds equally good to my ears. I have also been told that the UR Simply 2 amps are perhaps one of the best match for Diapason range of speakers. Perhaps, you could also try other Italian speakers eg. Aliante. Sonus may be little harder to drive, so SS amps may be more suitable. The newer UR lines may prove to be better matched with Opera speakers.

Just to add. Audio Image carries Diapason (I believe they still have some old stocks - bookshelves) while Tong Lee has the Opera lines. Not sure who carries Aliante now.
