crackly sound from sliding level control ( sound mixer )
Dear all,
Some has reported that WD40 is not to be used to clear away the crackly sound from level control. Can anyone advise where to obtain Deoxit or similar product in Malaysia.
Thank you.

Generally, WD40 isn't designed for servicing electronic, audio or related equipment, especially spraying into volume controls, selector switches or electro mechanical devices. WD 40 is suited for household fixes and mechanical industry.
Technicians usually use a contact switch cleaner which can be obtained from well stocked electronic supply shops. These products are designed for servicing electrical switches and contact devices. But then again, it can only do so much and not remedy devices that are seriously worn or internally defective.
Electronic shops at Jalan Pasar Kuala Lumpur do sell canned sprays for electronic servicing. I think some well stocked shop in other cities may have some.
Some brands seen here from CRC, Philips and Kontakt. These have been around quite a while.
