The 250s sound more defined, controlled , matured and effortless than other poweramps- 110/140/160/180. I used to enjoyed the music with Naits, but it was severely constricting the large scale music.The 135s makes an 110/140 look like sick old- man. The 250 is not particularly powerful, transparent or detailed (but rhythmically and musicality in the 135 class).
The 250 are a very versatile Amps. you can convert them to run Mono if you have pair of them ,similar to 135s play the same league in terms of rhythm and pace too But Everything seems more effortless!!

Bumper Chrome started In production since 1975, the Naim NAP 250 amplifier sudden gained big clap and its legendary foot tap tap experiences , designed by Sifu Julian Vereker he was the progenitor of the whole entire production NAIM. A classic for many audio systems. From the beginning the circuit block diagram was represented by: * a power: oversized, consisting of a toroidal transformer, two bridge rectifiers, a pair of large capacitors. * a pair of tabs of stabilization of the voltage that uses the same power transistor (almost never used by other manufacturers). * a pair of power boards to amplify the signal from the preamplifier (more precisely by a power supply Naim).

The cabinet exterior, always a solid T cut thick aluminum extrusion with the function also as a heat sink, up to 1989 retained the front edge of natural aluminum while in the later became completely blackie. The internal construction is almost flawless. The power transformer printed on label is 600 VA [700VA 135s] beefier than SuperNait, with an oversized compared to other little Nap versions (just compare the physical size of the transformers. does not mean would cost you a nap while listening).

The rectifiers, 1 per rail,The capacitors are two super-large capacitors so as to make it sound even faster for the disposal of musical transients.

NAIM, as tradition uses discrete components (transistors not chips) as signal amplifiers on the power boards. To make more uniform the temperature, NAIM uses large heat sink that enclose the transistors themselves through the thermal contacts effectively to the external case.That is the reason it can ON 24hours a Day..Not 7-11!

Cranking up the volume confirms the un-doubtably Naim's sonic signature. The music note jumps out at you. If I allowed describing Nap250, it will be a young rebellious adult; fast, temperamental, aggressive, dynamic, immediate, attack etc. “Pls Tekan me Sara, lower and lower ." yelled Nap250....
