M2Tech hiFace Evo

USB-to-SPDIF interface, based on the same technology as hiFace, but with many improvements. Hosted in a nice brushed aluminum case, with B-type female USB connector.

Main features:
- input for external supply (7 to 11VDC);
- input for external Master Clock (BNC with transformer);
- 2 x S/PDIF outputs (RCA and 75 Ohms BNC);
- AES/EBU output with XLR connector and settable format (consumer and professional) by an internal jumper;
- Toslink output
- ST output
- direct I2S output with 3.3V interface.
All outputs (except I2S) are transformer-decoupled to avoid ground noise and EMI interference. Three leds indicate power, data stream in input and external clock presence.

Notes: hiFace Evo is compliant with S/PDIF and AES/EBU specifications for channel status bits. Sampling frequency and other information are encoded. hiFace automatically recognize the presence of a clock on the master clock input and switches to that signal whenever available. AES/EBU channel status settings can be chosen between consumer and professional by a jumper on the PCB. ST output is compliant with Avago application note AV02-0723EN[1].pdf for links up to 1.6km.
