Monday was usually not one of my favorite day of the week (& i believed, it is the same too for a number of us, poor salaried worker ) . Reading those few paragraph in the star Audiofile page during lunch hour was actually one of the few things that will lighten me up during this miserable & hectic day in the office. Sad but guess, i won't be so eager for the paper again during the next Monday lunch

your reviews were always something i looked forwards to in the Star, and one of my main reasons for buying the paper. And your reviews were always so educational for a novice like me. I just wanted to say a big thank you to you.

Perhaps you could compile the whole lot of reviews into one book, or a website? Add on reviews slowly as you hear equiptment, not as a professional but rather like a not for profit pet project? We could have our own 6moons or stereomojo...!

Guys, thanks for the kind words ... I want to reiterate - AudioFile is done with; however, that doesn't mean its founder has moved on to other things and forsaken hi-fi ... all will be made known at a suitable time in the future .... and all your suggestions are noted.

For now, I just want to enjoy my system and music, focus on promoting my band's upcoming CD and recharge my batteries ...there are many good years ahead, by the grace of God ... ... and the world remains a large place to be conquered ... ... your support, as always, will continue to be my greatest asset ....

Any other options? Both better than "stock"?

The Sovteks are the stock ...I bought a new pair because the ones on the player seemed to be going. The only other options are the EH gold pins n one NOS brand that is going for about us$200 per tube! If u can find them, that is. I think you will like the EH, makes the player sound more "tube like" ....
