Without any political motive, do you think there is any impact on hifi price next year?

HiFi price may not be affected but with higher price of essential goods less will afford to take up the hobby...

Well, it seems with sugar subsidies cut, M'sian sex lives should improve, according to the PM. So perhaps we should see a drop in love for hi-fi and an increase in 'creating'-love else where.... Laughing

cheers

I guess people are also concerned about future purchase of other electrical consumer products for replacement or new acquisition. Hifi gear included as these are all non-essentials although some may think they are.
I too need to think about buying them soon, like hi-pressure water jet, new vacuum cleaner, maybe a few more power tools, just to name a few.
Hifi prices will still be tagged to foreign exchange list prices..the worse our exchange rate, the more pricy it becomes..cannot avoid such circumstance being Malaysian and bugged with poor exchange rate seemingly not improving at all. For me life doesn't revolve on hifi alone..numerous other things and issues to think of in future. My 2 sen worth.

Say, buying something from other foreign country, already got Tariff/Import Tax, will it be another GST 6% on it?

I'm reckoning the 10% sales tax will be replaced by 6% GST instead..unless someone else know better.
But then again, actual retail price of goods aren't constant depending on foreign exchange rate. Left to be seen.
