Hi Atoz,
I am not from the island of Penang.
But is from Butterworth, Seberang Perai.
Just opposite of the island on the mainland.
There is this Kampung Bengali just opposite
of the Butterworth old police station.
We found most of our electronics parts 
from this street.  Very Happy

If you live in Penang island, Hondai opposite tapak Pesta sells some components and tools.  But I normally prefer buying online from RS Online Malaysia, can get almost everything that regular brick-and-mortar shops will tell you 'no stock, need to order'.
