The 683 S2 steps the 600 series up a gear with the addition of the Kevlar FST midrange driver. In partnership with the latest decoupled double dome tweeter, pulled from the CM10 B&W have delivered a floorstander capable of stunning imaging and clarity within the vocal area.
The other major step forward over the original 683 is in the area of bass definition. B&W have re-designed the bass drivers using a similar double cone technique to that of the tweeter. This has resulted in much better "slam" or attack to the leading edges of bass notes. The net result is a large floorstander witha great deal of finesse
