Amp replacement for MF set up
Hi all,
Given that one of my MF XA-50 power amp recently blew, I was thinking whether its time to replace my whole amplification. My XA-1 is 11 years old and the XA-50s are 12 years old. With the power amp down, I am currently running the X-A1 as an integrated again and the EPOS are no longer bi-amped.
Since I just upgraded my CDP from Rega to MF XRAY V3, and running on EPOS speakers, do you think the X-150 or X-80 would provide a significant improvement over my X-A1 as an integrated amp?
What are the matching power amps for the X-150 and X-80?
I do of course have the option to repair the XA-50 and stick to the same set up.
Appreciate your thoughts.

if you like the current xa-50, meaning everything is good enough to your listening pleasure than just get it fix.

Re: Amp replacement for MF set up
i already fixed it once in 2008 and now it happened again, hence was thinking whether the xa50 has come to its end of life.
also would like to hear how my system sings with an amp with higher power output.
to be frank, tired of not having a remote control on the amp.
