Question for connection
Hi all... Need help on this.
Is it possible to use different speaker set than the one provided in the home cinema Sony bdv-2100? I have Jamo small size bookshelf speaker which have 6 Ohm impedance & Atlantic active sub. Can I connect those ones to the Sony bdv-e2100 instead of the original ones? If yes which is better?
1- Main out L/R go to my sub then out to L/R speaker?
or
2- Sub out to my sub & Main out L/R go to my main L/R speaker?
I only need 2.1 system without centre speaker & rear speaker. Thank you

Re: Question for connection
Hi Scorpio75m,
IMHO, I would stay with the original speakers as they were designed to meet the power output of the Sony Amp. However, you can try with connection (2) if you want to experiment with the JAMO speakers.
Please follow the manual on playing multichannel in 2.1 setup. You can have a better results by adding a simple stereo amplifier for the JAMO speaker for improvement.
Good luck!

Re: Question for connection
Tested using my jamo bookshelf speaker from bluray amp but the sound very kosong.
Tested wiring from speaker main out to my powered subwoofer also same. Found specs output from the main L/R is 180hz-20khz. Now planing to get speaker line out converter to line in for main L/R and subwoofer output. Anyone using this? How the sound?
