Hi Pokcek,

Just wonder if you have tried out the Cambridge Audio Azur 650CS CD player? If yes, how is it in comparison to the Dac Magic or Marantz 6004?

Which retailer carries the dac Magic?

Tks. Smile

Salutations, oh envied one. By envied i mean your equiptment!! Dude!! Apogee and Bohlender!! I almost rushed to my car to drive down to JB to listen!! And i don't even know your name!!

But seriously you have some fierce stuff there, with Bk amps And Sunfire subwoofs (tell me, do they really go for RM15K new? ).

Welcome, welcome to our little home away from home for tired ears longing to get away from the din of lofi, into the bliss and pleasure chamber of sweet sounding soothing er... sounds. Which by the look of things, you have managed to do all by your goodself. But welcome, welcome, and do stay for a bit.

Don't mind me, i'm one of the friendlier local loons here, and oh look who's at the door. Must go, must go, but take care and be well, and oh, if you ever get to learn you how to post pictures here, please do post them, for we like the look of things as well.

Meaning well,

Bal. Smile

ps, not one but TWO subwoofers?? Both of dems are sunfire?? Salutations dude, Salutations. Do you still have neighbours? And do they throw stones at you, like my old one used to do? Smile

Sorry the pre amp is Balanced Audio Tecknology not BK. Other sub is SVS. Due to shape of the hall still have problem with the sound of HTS. All the stuffs are from Singapore. House wall very thick so no complain. Sorry signing off now. Going back to Singapore. Thanks

The above is a video (which my friend recorded through his smart phone) on my setup based on a Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 speakers and posted to YouTube before I sold off the speakers a few days ago. This is for sharing purposes on the sound of a budgeted speaker reviewed by Stereophile as one of the Budget Component of the Year for 2011. Hope the Admin wouldn't mind that i posted a video link instead of the usual photos. Cheers.

Mr elhefe, So far this system is appropriate because all the old
system, which can be expected is the amplifier and speakers. If the match with
a digital CD sounds the same as the new system. BSR turntable sounds rather raw
and Mono, compared Garrard who is stereo, there is a difference between this
turntable even though the same production year.

JPW speakers monitor speakers with passive and active mode,
the system is also capable of producing deep bass and appropriate to the size
of my room. To me it sounds it 7/10 in accordance with the age of equipment.
Cables are used for speaker phone cable is wound with 4 cable fine.

Dear tmahmood,

The speaker is definitely well built and the tonal is excellent as well. Sadly, like you said, Mission doesn't make speakers of such quality anymore. The Dance with my father version is sung by Buddy Jewell and the album can be obtain from Victoria Station in Amcorp Mall (if they don't have it, you can ask them to place an order for us, just like what i did). The cover of the album are as below:

Cheers & enjoy the music Wink

Hi Joe Ling,

Thank you. I acquired the Pass Labs recently. I wanted to try SS for a change to see the difference between the two. For 'those things' on the wall, they're Auralex cones.

My Audio Physic Scorpio 25

Siltech cabling for the Ayon CD-1S

Soldiering on with my trusty Primare I30 integrated. Maybe a Primare pre-power combo one of these days or another integrated? However I doubt I will get anything from CMY again after they tried to rip me off a big one.

llsaw,

nice looking speakers....I love the shape...

Your siltech looks similar to mine...

Is that a coaxial interconnect on the Ayon or stereo RCA?

You got ripped off from CMY?

Elhefe,

Interconnects are Siltech ST18IQ RCA.

Let's just say once upon a time many moons ago CMY Pg wanted to sell me your speakers for MYR 13.7K. Mind you the Proac D18s only cost bout 2K GBP retail. Even a phone call to John Yew failed to lessen the price. Really disappointed having spend many tens of thousands there previously. Oh well, I've since gone to Audio Physic and no debate on which speaker is better.

Heard the Scorpio (not 25) and they were amazing. I believe the 25 are even better but no chance to have an audition yet.

Clearaudio Clearline speaker cables with Clearaudio Genius plugs. Biggest difference ever from cables upgrading from QED Silver Anniversary. Its like having a new source and amp!

Scorpio Front Driver Array

Scorpio 25 Front Driver Array

The Scorpio is more source and poor recording quality friendly. The Scorpio 25 is better everywhere else. What a tweeter! Wanna hear if the singer is a wee bit too close to the mike? No problem. "No Loss of Fine Detail"

llsaw,

Same2 here...I use this RCA between my MF CLiC to my amp.

How long ago did you try to purchase the D18s? If it was way before Nov 2010, then thats about the same price quoted to me...but of course when I purchased in Nov 2010, the price is similar to the price in UK.
