Hey Debussy owner(s). U know who u are. Just wondering whether an external clock like the DCS U-clock or Paganini M clock will lift the sonic performance of the Debussy. If u any experience, in what ways are the improvement(s) ? Worth the money ?

Regards,
Joe Ling

I have only know of a person who had conducted tests on a computer transport tethered to a dCS Scarlatti clock.

It seems that the results are not favourable.

You can read the article here.

This is my experience with 3 Dubussy system using external clock.
First system using Pucinni U Clock
Second and third system using a Rubidium based Word clock.

The improvements areas are similar.
Better dynamic range
Micro dynamics and nuance are very much more pronounced
Improved Definition
Lower floor noise
Sharper and more stable images
Silky highs

The rubidium based Word clock had better improvements, ie more pronounced. It is very easy to do an A/B with or without the external clock, just plug and unplug the clock input cable. Debussy will mute a second and the music continues.

I own the third system
