Hi guys, I've opened this thread to existing and future owners of BFA - Beyond Frontier Audio which made its 1st Asian preview at KLIAV 2012 room 8033 till this Sunday.

I'm one of the owner of BFA Tulip Hybrid integrated amp myself and hope to share tips and experiences here.

To those who are unfamiliar with this brand, BFA is founded by Zdenko Zivkovic formerly designer of Sonic Frontier and also other companies like Audio Note and Denon.

Thanks enzo for listening and auditioning the BFA..nice pic Haha yes it is true, if your setup is proper you don't need room treatment, and you will notice there is absolutely no room treatment and we even use an entry Bluray player for transport to focus on BFA. I asked Mr. Bosko of BFA on the importance of cables etc.. he is of the opinion that you must get your electronics right (ie dac and amp) then cable is of little concern and more of minor fine tuning.

BFA's design philisophy is to ensure that the source is as pure as possible and as close as possible to the master recording, and even if you push the amp all the way to the max, there is 0 distortion. The only limit is the speakers. At KLIAV, the limit in our performance was the Triangle Quartet, though they are flexible and respectable speakers, they are more of an entry level speaker costing much less than other rooms.. considering the most expensive setup was in the region of RM1.2 million at the show, ours not even 5% for the whole setup.

Alfred, which no. did u call? I've setup the Tulip with almost the same setup as KLIAV now except that it's in a larger open space with natural surrounding ie. actual living room scenario. You will notice the sound difference on how different room reacts. pmed u the details. I have spoken to Bosko the founder on various visitors at KLIAV who wish to audition further, we can also arrange home audition at your house with your own speakers etc for a period of 1 week with terms and condition.
