CEC TL51z CD player opinions

G'day,

Someone offered me an old TL51z CD Player (supposed to be an ex-demo stuff). I found that it had problem reading certain discs. I've searched the internet, and found that CEC players can get quite picky. Has anyone encountered similar problem or is it just problem with the laser pickup?

I had a similar problem with my NAD CD player, demo unit as well. Very picky with the CD's.

Got the Lens changed and its singing away. Likely could be the Lens, get it checked out.

oooo...the kedai promise to have the player checked first...if they can't do anything i will give mr oh a call. from the CDs that it can play....hmmmm lovely music...

Something strucked me. The player can read the TOC of all CDs. Just when i pressed the play button, it kinda hang (some CD's). Hmmm...
